Glen Moore employees make holidays better for family [02.18.2009]
This past Christmas, the employees of Glen Moore adopted a family through Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Pennsylvania.
The agency provided a wish list for a mother and her two children.
"Every one of our employees literally wrapped their arms around each family member," said Adele Group, executive assistant.
The gifts, which filled a GMC Yukon, were delivered to the agency on Dec. 17 by Adele; Jane Faircloth, accounts payable processor; Jenny Lynch, payroll analyst; and Tiffany Seeley, pricing analyst. Glen Moore employees also provided the family with a complete Christmas dinner.
In a letter to Adele, Sheri Page of Domestic Violence Services stated: "Ronitta was extremely grateful and overwhelmed by the generosity of each one of you. Even though she works every day, she would have never had the resources to provide the magical holiday that your employees gave her children."
Sheri went on to express her own reaction to the generosity of Glen Moore employees: "Each year that passes, I am continually amazed by how blessed I am to work with companies such as yours during the holidays. Thanks to your group and each individual. You made this holiday season effortless to me and absolutely wonderful for Ronitta and her family!"
